Pact respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the Pact mobile app.

We may collect the following types of information:

Account Information

When you create or use an account, we may collect information such as your email address, user ID, display name, username, profile avatar, and account settings.

Profile and Group Information

Pact lets users create and join goal-based groups called Pacts. We collect information you provide in the app, including group names, goals, invite codes, group memberships, chat messages, proof submissions, weekly recap data, leaderboard activity, and related app activity.

Photos and User Content

If you submit proof for a goal or upload a profile image, we may collect and store the photo or image you choose to provide. Proof photos may be reviewed by automated systems and/or other members of your Pact group depending on the group's settings.

AI Verification Data

If you use AI proof scanning, the submitted proof image and related goal context may be sent to an AI service to help determine whether the proof appears to match the goal. AI results may include an approval, rejection, review status, explanation, and confidence score.

Subscription and Purchase Information

If you purchase Pact Premium or a Pact Plan, subscription status and product information may be processed through Apple and RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your full payment card information.

Push Notification Information

If you enable push notifications, we may collect and store push notification tokens, notification preferences, app version, platform, and notification delivery information so we can send alerts about your Pacts.

Device and Usage Information

We may collect limited device, app, diagnostic, and usage information, such as app interactions, error logs, performance information, and feature usage, to maintain and improve Pact.

Content you submit inside a Pact group, such as messages, proof submissions, goal progress, leaderboard information, and profile details, may be visible to other members of that group.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users, to investigate abuse or fraud, or to enforce our terms and policies.

4. Photos and Proof Submissions

Proof photos are used to verify goal completion and may be visible to members of the relevant Pact group. Depending on the group and app settings, proof submissions may be reviewed by AI, group voting, or both.

Do not upload content that you do not want shared with members of your Pact group.

5. Subscriptions

Pact may offer paid subscriptions, including Pact Premium and Pact Plans. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. RevenueCat helps us determine whether your account has an active subscription and which paid features should be enabled.

We do not receive your full payment card details.

6. Push Notifications

If you allow notifications, Pact may send alerts about proof submissions, messages, votes, weekly recaps, reminders, and group activity. You can manage notification preferences in the app or disable notifications through your device settings.

7. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Pact, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements.

Some content may be deleted, archived, or removed over time to keep storage efficient, including old proof photos or inactive data.

9. Children's Privacy

Pact is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International Data Processing

Your information may be processed and stored in locations outside your state, province, or country. By using Pact, you understand that your information may be processed where our service providers operate.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users in the app or by other reasonable means. The updated policy will be effective when posted.
